We’ve finally got to that time of the year when our chilled fingertips and breath in the air is a reminder that Winter has well and truly arrived. Sadly, our skin and make-up may suffer as a result.
However, here at Sian Dellar have a few tricks up our sleeve to help, and we’d love to share them with you…
Moisturise, Moisturise, Moisturise!
The key to avoiding dry skin is making sure to keep your skin as moisturised as possible. Opt for serums and oils for added moisture retention, and yes, that includes all of you oily-skin sufferers out there!
By nourishing the skin from the off-set, your skin is less likely to over-compensate for dryness by producing more oil, so you can look forward to shine-free skin.
Wear SPF
We’ve heard dermatologists say it a thousand times, but don’t rush to put the SPF away just yet! Even though Summer has left us, the UV rays have not and it’s just as important now to make sure you protect your skin.
Choose an SPF 30 or 50 for fairer skin tones for guaranteed protection.
Sleep on a Silk Pillow Case
Yes, we know this may sound high maintenance, but choosing a silk pillow case over a cotton one is a necessary step in helping to retain plump and nourished skin. Cotton pillow cases are known to be drying to both the hair and skin, so to help prevent ageing, use a silk pillow case that is gentler on our skin.
Consider a Semi-Permanent Make-Up Treatment
Who hates getting up in the dark to rush our make-up before we go to work? We do! Here, at the Sian Dellar Clinic we offer a range of semi-permanent make-up treatments that will make your life that little bit easier.
We offer Microblading Services, a treatment that involves placing pigment in the dermal layer of the skin to help achieve more symmetrical and defined brows.
Our Lip Blush Tattooing Services uses the same process to help you achieve the lip colour of your dreams, so you can steer clear of any drying lipsticks this winter.
Finally, our Eyeliner Tattooing services involve placing colour just above in between the lash line so that you don’t have to fumble with your eyeliner in the mornings.
